Chiranjeevi’s Megaverse: Megastar to host Telugu cinema talk show on Netflix, filming under way
Netflix has announced Chiranjeevi's Megaverse, a talk show on Telugu cinema with the Megastar as host. Filming has begun, but the premiere date and guest list are still to be announced.

For more than four decades Chiranjeevi has been the man the camera follows. He will now be the one asking the questions. Netflix announced on Thursday, 29 October, that the Megastar will host Chiranjeevi’s Megaverse, a talk show about Telugu cinema and the people who built it. It is his first original project for the streaming service.
The announcement poster shows an empty red armchair on a stage, with a lone figure walking down a lit staircase behind it and the line “coming soon”. Netflix said the cameras are already rolling. It has not given a premiere date, and it has not said how many episodes the first season will have.
A family banner behind the show
In its note on the series, Netflix described Megaverse as a tribute to the history and the big names of Telugu films, with Chiranjeevi’s love for cinema and his long ties with its people at the centre. The format is conversation: guests from several generations, stories from their careers, and the kind of moments that seldom reach the screen.
Three companies are producing it: Gold Box Entertainments, Atom Media Ventures and Sol Production LLP. The first of these belongs to Sushmita Konidela, Chiranjeevi’s elder daughter; she was among the producers of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, his film from January 2026.
Guest list still open
Netflix has named no guests so far. In Telugu film circles, the names that keep coming up for the opening episodes are those of comedians Brahmanandam, Sunil and Satya. There is also talk of a special episode that would put Chiranjeevi, his younger brother Pawan Kalyan, now Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and his son Ram Charan on one stage. No official announcement has been made yet.
Hosting is not new territory for the actor. In 2017 he presented a season of the quiz show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu on television. His films have also streamed on Netflix before, with Waltair Veerayya landing on the service in February 2023. Megaverse, though, is the first show built for the platform around him.
On the big screen, his next release is Kaaka, a Bobby Kolli film backed by KVN Productions. The film is set to open in theatres on 13 January 2027, in the Sankranti season.
