Original bilingual journalism · English & తెలుగు
Telugu Scope is a bilingual news publication for readers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and the wider Telugu world. This page explains how we decide what to publish, how we check it and who is accountable for it.
What we publish
We publish news, explainers, analysis and reviews on politics, government, the economy, cinema, sports, education and jobs, devotional and lifestyle subjects. Each story is meant to tell the reader something specific: what happened, why it matters and what comes next.
How we check facts
- We confirm each fact with at least two independent sources, or with one source and the official record, such as a government notification, a court order or a police or commission statement.
- Where sources disagree on a number, we use a form we can defend, such as “at least four”, or we leave the figure out.
- We write every story in our own words. We do not copy sentences from other publications and we do not present another outlet’s reporting as our own.
- We give real calendar dates, not “today” or “yesterday”, so a story stays accurate whenever it is read.
- We do not publish a claim we cannot support, however widely it is repeated elsewhere.
Attribution and opinion
We name people and official bodies when they say something on the record. Analysis and opinion are labelled, and we say whose view it is. Where political parties disagree, we give each side’s stated position and the documented facts.
Independence
Telugu Scope is not affiliated with any political party. Advertising and sponsored material never decide what we report and are kept separate from news. Film reviews carry our own rating and reflect the reviewer’s judgement, not the producers’ wishes.
Pictures
We use pictures we are entitled to use: licensed photographs, official posters and stills released for publicity, and illustrations or information cards made by Telugu Scope. Captions say what a picture is. Illustrations are labelled as illustrations.
Review before publication
Every story is reviewed by our editorial team before it is published. The name on a story is the desk responsible for it.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we correct it and say so. See our Corrections Policy.
