Corrections Policy

We aim to be accurate, and when we are not, we say so and fix it.

How we correct

  • Errors of fact (a wrong name, date, figure or claim) are corrected in the story. We add a note at the foot saying what changed and when.
  • Small slips (typing mistakes, spelling) are fixed without a note.
  • Serious errors that affected the meaning of a story get a clear correction at the top of the story.
  • Stories we cannot stand behind are removed, and we say why on the page where the story stood.

How to report an error

Write to info@teluguscope.com with the subject line “Correction”, the link to the story, what is wrong and, if you can, a source that shows the right information. You can also use the form on our Contact page.

What happens next

We read every correction request, check it against our sources and reply to the sender when we have acted or when we have decided no change is needed, with our reason.

Right of reply

If a story names a person or organisation and you believe it is unfair or inaccurate, write to us and we will consider adding your response.
