About Telugu Scope
News that matters. Context that helps.
Telugu Scope is a modern bilingual digital news platform covering the stories, people and ideas shaping Telugu audiences in India and around the world.
Why Telugu Scope
Plenty of news reaches Telugu readers. Less of it is written to be understood. We report clearly, add the context that makes a story make sense, and present it in a way that works as well on a phone at a bus stop as on a desktop at work.
We publish in English and in తెలుగు because our audience lives in both — at home in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and abroad where Telugu is spoken at home and English at work. Neither edition is a translation afterthought.
Trust is the whole product. We say where information comes from, we distinguish what we know from what we are told, and we correct what we get wrong.

Our approach
Clear
Make complicated stories easier to understand. A reader should finish a piece knowing what happened and why it matters, without needing to have followed it from the start.
Relevant
Focus on stories that matter to our audience — the Telugu states, the diaspora, and the culture and politics that connect them.
Responsible
Separate reporting, analysis and opinion clearly, and correct mistakes where necessary rather than quietly leaving them.
One newsroom. Two languages.
Telugu Scope publishes an English edition and a తెలుగు edition from the same newsroom, under the same editorial standards. The two are not mirrors of each other: some stories matter more to one audience than the other, and each edition is edited for the readers actually in front of it.
You can move between them at any time using the తెలుగు control in the header, or go straight to the Telugu edition.
Work with Telugu Scope
We are building the newsroom and the product at the same time, and we are always interested in hearing from people who write, report, film, photograph and edit.
