The Vrushakarma first single, “Swag of Arjun”, releases on Saturday, 7 November, the makers of Naga Chaitanya’s mythological thriller announced on Wednesday, 4 November. A new poster of the actor came with the announcement. Karthik Dandu has directed the film, which reaches cinemas on Friday, 4 December.

The song takes its name from Arjun, the character Naga Chaitanya plays, and is meant to set up his attitude on screen. Ajaneesh Loknath, who scored Kantara and Karthik Dandu’s previous film Virupaksha, composed the track. Naga Chaitanya said Ajaneesh had outdone himself on it.

A new look for Arjun

The poster shows the actor side-on against a dark backdrop, wearing black glasses and earphones; his shoulder carries a fresh cut. The team has said he went through a complete physical change for the part. With a month left before release, the single is the first step in the film’s music campaign.

Before the song announcement, the makers took the media around the sets. They showed a large cave built for the film and explained how visual effects were worked into the shoot.
