Aadarsha Kutumbam trailer: Venkatesh’s family is under siege in Trivikram’s first film as his director

The trailer of Aadarsha Kutumbam, released on 23 October, shows a gang coming for Venkatesh's family. Trivikram, who wrote Venkatesh's earlier hits, directs him for the first time. Release: 30 October.

In the trailer of Aadarsha Kutumbam: House No. 47, a gang commits crimes and then comes for Venkatesh’s family. The family does not run. It fights.

That is some distance from the family films Venkatesh and Trivikram are remembered for. Trivikram wrote Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Malliswari for Venkatesh; this is the first time he directs him. The rhyming dialogue is still there, but action dominates the trailer and the violence is heavier than Trivikram’s films usually carry.

The trailer was launched on 23 October at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth in Hyderabad, where Venkatesh, Trivikram and the team met students.

Srinidhi Shetty is the heroine. Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji and Vennela Kishore are in the cast. Thaman composes the music, and S. Radha Krishna produces for Haarika & Hassine Creations. The film is also billed as AK-47, for House No. 47.

Our view: the title sets the question the film now has to answer. An “ideal family” is one that other families point to, and the trailer is about what happens when someone decides to test it.

Aadarsha Kutumbam releases worldwide on 30 October. It was first set for 9 October.
