Aadarsha Kutumbam: Andhra allows Rs 75 more a ticket at multiplexes and an extra show for ten days; Telangana stays at regular rates
A multiplex ticket for the Venkatesh-Trivikram film will cost up to Rs 252 and a single-screen seat Rs 197.50 in Andhra Pradesh from 30 October to 8 November. The Home Department's memo of 26 October also allows one additional show a day; Telangana has given no hike.

Andhra Pradesh audiences will pay more to watch Venkatesh’s Aadarsha Kutumbam in its opening run. The state government has allowed theatres to raise ticket prices for the Trivikram Srinivas film for its first ten days, from 30 October to 8 November, and to add one show a day.
Multiplexes may charge up to Rs 75 more a ticket and single screens Rs 50 more, both figures including GST. That puts the top multiplex ticket at Rs 252 and a single-screen ticket at Rs 197.50. The Home Department issued the memo on 26 October, five days after producer S. Radha Krishna of Haarika & Hassine Creations applied through the office of the minister for cinematography.
No change in Telangana
Across the border, the film will run at regular prices. Telangana has not granted a hike, which means the same seat in Hyderabad will cost less than it does in Vijayawada or Visakhapatnam during the first ten days.
The Andhra decision has drawn political fire. CPI leader K. Narayana said the government was picking the pockets of ordinary viewers to help a producer recover his costs, and argued that a film’s profits and losses should be the producer’s to carry.
The film
Aadarsha Kutumbam, billed in full as Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47, is a family drama with Venkatesh in the lead and Srinidhi Shetty opposite him. Thaman has scored the music. The Central Board of Film Certification has given it a U/A certificate. The release was first set for 9 October and moved to 30 October because post-production ran late. It opens worldwide on 30 October.
