Debut director Kirtan Nadagouda's horror thriller 418, presented by Prashanth Neel and backed by Mythri Movie Makers, reaches cinemas on 23 October in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi with an A certificate.

A dark red information card headed 418 with the release date, four languages and the A certificate.

418, the horror thriller presented by Prashanth Neel, opens in cinemas on 23 October. It is the first horror film from Mythri Movie Makers, and it arrives in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.

Who is behind the film

Kirtan Nadagouda, who wrote the story, makes his directorial debut. Prashanth Neel lends his name to the film as presenter. Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar produce it under the Mythri banner.

The cast is led by Chaithra Achar, with Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Preethi Pagadala and Shashank Patil in key roles.

A certificate and two delays

The Central Board of Film Certification gave 418 an A certificate. The makers said it cleared after several rounds of discussions and cuts, and the matter went to the board’s Revising Committee over the level of horror.

The film was first set for 31 July, then for 18 September. It was later moved to 23 October for a wider multi-language release.

The Fauzi glimpse

The release carries a bonus for Prabhas fans. Mythri producer Ravi Shankar has said a short glimpse of Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi, timed to Prabhas’s birthday on 23 October, will play with 418 in theatres. He described it as a glimpse into the world of the film, not a teaser or a trailer, meant to introduce the hero’s character and give an idea of the story. Fans who want to see it on the big screen will need to watch it in a theatre showing 418.
