January 12 Vidudala: Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram’s Anil Ravipudi film wraps its Ooty schedule, stays set for 12 January 2027

January 12 Vidudala, Anil Ravipudi’s family entertainer with Venkatesh and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, has finished its 12-day schedule in Ooty. The unit filmed two songs and some key sequences there. The film is set to reach theatres on 12 January 2027, in the Sankranti season.

The title, which means ‘release on January 12’, doubles as the release date. It was announced on 19 August 2026; until then the project was known by working titles. The film was launched with a pooja in Hyderabad on 17 June.

Two heroes, two pairs

It is the first time Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram share the screen. Keerthy Suresh is paired with Venkatesh and Krithi Shetty with Kalyan Ram. Sahu Garapati produces the film under Shine Screens, presented by Suresh Productions with Zee Studios, and GV Prakash Kumar composes the music.

Venkatesh and Ravipudi have worked together before on F2, F3 and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, the last of which was also a Sankranti release.

Venkatesh’s Aadarsha Kutumbam, directed by Trivikram, opens in theatres on Friday, 30 October.
