Engineering graduates in Andhra Pradesh can now apply for 503 Assistant Executive Engineer posts in the state government. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission issued its full APPSC AEE notification, No. 27/2026, on Monday, 2 November, and the online window that opened the same day stays open until 11.59 pm on Sunday, 22 November.

The commission first listed the vacancies in a brief notice on 13 October. Water Resources takes the biggest share, 224 posts for civil and mechanical engineers. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Engineering follows with 100, Roads and Buildings with 79 (75 civil and four electrical), Rural Water Supply and Sanitation with 73, Public Health and Municipal Engineering with 21 and Tribal Welfare Engineering with six. The commission has called these numbers provisional.

Who can apply

Each post code asks for an engineering degree in the branch fixed for it (civil, mechanical or electrical) or a qualification the notification treats as equal to it. Candidates must be between 18 and 44 years old on 1 July 2026, with age relaxation for reserved categories and some other groups under state rules. The job comes with a salary band of Rs 57,100 to Rs 1,47,760.

The fee is Rs 250 for processing plus Rs 120 for the examination. SC, ST and BC applicants, candidates with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen, families with a white ration card in Andhra Pradesh and eligible unemployed youth do not have to pay the exam part of the fee. Anyone applying to the commission for the first time has to finish One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on psc.ap.gov.in before the form opens.

How the selection works

The written stage is a computer-based test of three objective papers worth 450 marks in all, and one-third of the marks for a question is cut for every wrong answer. Those who make the cut must then clear a Computer Proficiency Test on office software. The commission has not yet fixed a date for the examination.

On the same Monday, the commission also pushed back the last dates for several other recruitments it has under way, so candidates for those posts should look up the new deadlines. Applications for the APPSC Group-II recruitment of 686 posts open on 10 November. The AEE notification and the application link are on the commission’s recruitment page.
