Telangana Inter exams 2027: fee payment opens October 26, last date without fine November 9
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has set the fee schedule for the March 2027 public examinations, with small increases for every stream. Late payment is allowed until 14 December, at fines of up to ₹2,000.

From 26 October, Intermediate students can pay their fee for the Telangana Inter exams 2027, the public examinations due in March. The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) announced the schedule on Friday, 16 October, setting 9 November as the last date to pay without a fine. Fees have gone up by ₹10 or ₹20 depending on the stream.
The schedule covers first- and second-year regular students in the general and vocational streams, students who failed earlier and are reappearing, and private candidates in the arts and humanities groups who have been granted exemption from attendance. Students pay through their own colleges.
How much you pay
- First year, general: ₹540 (was ₹530)
- First year, vocational: ₹890 (was ₹870)
- Second year, general arts: ₹540 (was ₹530)
- Second year, general science: ₹890 (was ₹870)
- Second year, vocational: ₹890 (was ₹870)
The ₹890 fee is made up of ₹540 for theory papers, ₹250 for practicals and ₹100 for the English practical.
Key dates
- Without late fee: 26 October to 9 November 2026
- With ₹100 late fee: 11 to 20 November
- With ₹500 late fee: 22 to 29 November
- With ₹1,000 late fee: 1 to 7 December
- With ₹2,000 late fee: 9 to 14 December
- Examinations: March 2027 (detailed timetable not yet announced)
Paying on time matters: a student who misses the first window and pays in the final slab ends up paying more than three times the basic fee.
Private candidates: apply for exemption first
Students who want to write the exams without attending college must first obtain an attendance exemption. Applications are open on the board’s website until 31 October, with a fee of ₹500. Late applications are accepted with a ₹200 fine until 15 November and a ₹500 fine until 30 November. The fee is not refunded if a candidate is later found ineligible.
Candidates with a one-year gap after Class 10 may sit only the first-year examinations, while those with a gap of two years or more may take both years together. Applicants need their SSC pass certificate, transfer certificate and the other documents the board has listed; students from other boards also need an eligibility certificate from TGBIE.
How to pay
Regular and failed students pay at their college, which will confirm the amount; keep the receipt. Private candidates apply for exemption online at tgbie.cgg.gov.in.
Watch out: The board does not collect exam fees through WhatsApp links, phone calls or private agents. Pay only at your college or on tgbie.cgg.gov.in, and check any message about “extended deadlines” with your principal.
