Vaishnavi Sharma’s 5 for 39 sets up India’s 3-0 ODI sweep of Zimbabwe; Shafali Verma’s 26-ball 51 finishes the chase in 17 overs
The 20-year-old left-arm spinner took her first five-wicket haul in Vadodara, and India needed only 17 overs to chase 132 and win by eight wickets.

Vaishnavi Sharma took her first five-wicket haul as India beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the third and final women’s ODI in Vadodara on Wednesday, 28 October, completing a 3-0 sweep of the series. The 20-year-old left-arm spinner finished with 5 for 39 from her 10 overs, and Zimbabwe were bowled out for 131 in 39.5 overs.
Modester Mupachikwa was the only Zimbabwe batter to settle, making 37 before Vaishnavi had her stumped by Yastika Bhatia. Around her, the wickets kept falling to spin and pace alike: Sayali Satghare and Kranti Gaud took two each, and Shafali Verma chipped in with a wicket of her own.
Shafali and Rawal finish it in 17 overs
India lost Yastika to the first ball of the chase, caught at mid-on. Chasing 132, Pratika Rawal made an unbeaten 59 off 56 balls, and Shafali raced to 51 not out off 26 balls as India reached 133 for 2 in only 17 overs, with 33 overs to spare.
The win made it six out of six for India against Zimbabwe on this tour. India had already won the T20I series 3-0 before the three ODIs.
